The last period of the day is almost over, and their enthusiasm is obvious. Eyes turn toward the window. Yearning hands close their Chromebooks a bit too early. Eager eyes roll toward the windows. When the bell rings they jump up and fly out of the room. It’s a 60-degree day and school is over!
They jump off the bus and race each other to the door. It’s sprinkling out, but they don’t care. Bags are thrown down, a quick hug is given, and they are back outside. It’s a 60-degree day and school is over!
You can see the joy on their faces.
Lots of excitement across WNY today! It felt glorious to have classroom windows open. If half of my sophomores weren’t currently mowed down by the flu and absent, today would have been a rough one for focus!
Enjoy your spring break! So glad the warm weather has hit Buffalo so you can enjoy some time outside!
